Did you see us on the news?
Named after BAYC (Ballet Academy Youth Company), The Bakery is our nickname for the performing ensembles at The Ballet Academy, Inc. In 2010-2011 we will be presenting a Halloween concert; The Holiday Storybook Tea Party; and a spring repertory concert. We also perform in outreach concerts troughout the community and occasionally reprise excerpts from our repertory in our spring recital, Les Beaux Arts.
Members of the performing ensembles must commit to regular attendance of both classes and rehearsals. Rehearsals and/or performances may be scheduled during holiday breaks. All absences must be pre-approved. Ballet Academy Youth Company (BAYC) dancers (Ballet Level 4-5) typically perform corps de ballet and soloist roles, Youth Repertory Ensemble (YRE) dancers (Ballet Level 2-3) dance corps de ballet roles and Cedar Rapids Children's Ballet (CRCB) dancers (Ballet Primary B & C and Ballet Level 1) dance corps de ballet and/or children’s roles.
